Explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea since the morning of August 9. Residents of the Dzhankoy district also report acrid smoke rising near Sevastopol Bay. The occupants have stopped traffic on the Crimean Bridge.

Russian media write about it. Sevastopol Gauleiter Mikhail Razvozhayev tried to assure Crimeans that the explosions and smoke were the consequences of "exercises," but they did not believe him much.

Russian media began reporting about the suspension of traffic on the Crimean Bridge at about 9:30. Residents of the Dzhankoy district of temporarily occupied Crimea complained of explosions just half an hour later.

Crimeans also spoke about choking acrid smoke rising in the area of Sevastopol Bay.

Gauleiter of temporarily occupied Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev explained that these were "fleet exercises".

"If you see smoke in the area of Sevastopol Bay, don't worry. It's the Navy conducting a training session on RChBD calculations. Everything in the city is under control," a representative of the occupational "authorities" wrote.

Crimeans had a slightly different opinion on the matter, which they shared in the comments under his Telegram post.
