Moscow announced "one of the largest attempts" to attack the Russian capital with drones during the war. During the night of August 21, at least 10 UAVs were shot down in the Moscow region, and in total, the occupiers' air defense allegedly destroyed 45 drones.

A statement was made by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. He noted that the created echeloned defense of Moscow against enemy UAVs allowed to successfully repel all attacks.

"Last night , the Defense Ministry's air defense forces shot down 10 drones. This is one of the largest attempts to attack Moscow with drones ever. We continue to control the situation," Sobyanin writes.

"Eleven UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Moscow region, another twenty-three UAVs were destroyed over the Bryansk region, six UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, three over the Kaluga region, and two over the Kursk region," the terrorist agency reported.

Russians have already thrown a fit over the attack on social media. They called for revenge against Kyiv and expressed outrage at the behavior of local authorities.
