On August 26, the aggressor country Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine, using kamikaze drones and various types of missiles. After the nighttime explosions from Shakedowns, in the morning, many cities were hit by cruise missiles and ballistic missiles: damage, casualties, and emergency power outages were reported.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine provided minute-by-minute updates on the threat to each region. The regional military administrations also urged citizens not to ignore the sirens and to go to shelters.

According to monitoring channels, at 04:30, 11 Tu-95MS strategic bombers carrying missiles were spotted taking off from the territory of the terrorist state. In particular, six from the Olenya airfield, four from Engels and one from Diaghilevo.

These planes were expected to arrive at the border of Saratov and Volgograd regions of the Russian Federation and the Caspian region, from where the enemy usually attacks Ukraine with missiles, around 05:50 to 07:50.

"Accordingly, the launch of Kh-101/55 missiles and their possible entry into the airspace of Ukraine is likely starting at 06:30," the Monitor War Telegram channel noted.

As of 05:20, air alert was declared in most of Ukraine, except for Odesa, Vinnytsia and western regions. Shahideen continued to circle the borders of a number of regions. And the occupiers launched UAVs in the frontline regions. In addition, the invaders launched three Kalibr cruise missile carriers (16 units in total) into the sea.

At about 06:00, a MiG-31k, the main carrier of the Russian hypersonic air defense missile system Kh-47m2 "Kinzhal", was also present in the air in Russia.

According to preliminary information, at about 07:05, the enemy gave the command to launch air-launched cruise missiles from the Saratov region of the Russian Federation. Already at 07:40, the air force reported missile strikes and that there were six Tu-22M3 aircraft (carriers of Kh-22 missiles) in Russian airspace.

Following this, cruise missiles were spotted in many regions of Ukraine, and enemy ballistic missile launches were also reported.

Around 08:00, explosions were heard in Kharkiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih, Vinnytsia region, and later in Dnipro and Kyiv. Air defense was operating in the regions.

At around 08:40, repeated explosions were heard in Kharkiv. In some parts of Kyiv, the powerwent out during the attack. Odesa was under attack, where smoke rose after the explosions.

As a result of an enemy attack in Lutsk, an apartment building was damaged due to the fall of debris from a downed drone. Later, the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in the city, killing one person.

DTEK CEO Serhiy Kovalenko said that Russia is shelling Ukraine's energy system. Emergency blackouts were introduced in Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Dnipro and Kyiv regions.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, aviation expert Anatoliy Khrapchynsky pointed out that it is impossible to calculate how many more missiles the enemy can launch at Ukraine, since Russia does not have a clear constant number of missiles that would be produced in a certain period. The aggressor has not established mass production - it has situational work that depends on the receipt of certain components.
