Enemy assaults repelled: the General Staff says no losses of Ukrainian positions near Robotyne
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers have launched four assaults in the area of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. However, the Ukrainian defense forces not only repelled their attacks, but also held their positions.
This was reported by Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the telethon. "In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attacked the defense line near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, four times. Our positions were not lost," he said.
Over the last day, 166 clashes with the occupants took place on the frontline. In total, during this period, enemy forces carried out four missile and 75 air strikes, as well as 118 attacks from missile and artillery systems.
In theKupyansk sector , the enemy made 30 attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the defenders successfully repelled five occupants' attacks in the Lyman sector, eight attacks in the Siversk sector, 19 attacks in the Kramatorsk sector, 45 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, and 26 attacks in the Vremivsk sector.
In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense 11 times, using air support. At the same time, on May 15, Ukrainian defenders reinforced their tactical positions in the Pobeda area.
In the Prydniprovia sector, the occupants continue to try to force Ukrainian forces from the left bank of the Dnipro River. Seven enemy attacks were registered there.
In addition, over the past day, the defenders struck 35 times at the areas of concentration of Russian military personnel, one ammunition depot, one occupant control center and two anti-aircraft missile systems.
It is worth noting that since May 10, the Russian army has been able to achieve a tactical offensive in the north of Kharkiv region in areas where Ukrainian forces "deliberately did not create" significant defensive lines. It is believed that the occupiers are now prioritizing the creation of the "buffer zone" announced by the dictator rather than deep penetration into the region.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, military expert, reserve major Oleksiy Hetman expressed his belief that the spring-summer offensive of Russian troops did not begin with actions in the Kharkiv region. According to him, it actually started in April with the occupiers' advance in the Chasovyi Yar area in Donetsk region.
