Endangering the population: British intelligence points to Russia's problems with the use of bombs
Cases of Russian fighter jets "losing" bombs on Russian territory indicate the inability of the aggressor country to use munitions on their intended targets successfully. Such pilot errors have devastating and deadly consequences for the Russian population.
This is stated in the UK intelligence report published on May 11 on the social network X. The agency recalled that a Russian fighter jet accidentally fired a FAB-500 munition in a residential area of Belgorod on May 4, 2024.
At the time, Belgorod Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed the explosion and destruction on Rozdobarkina Street in Belgorod, without specifying the cause.

30 houses and 10 cars were damaged, and five people needed hospitalization, which demonstrates the destructive power of the munition, the report said.
British intelligence noted that this was not an isolated incident. On February 18, an FAB-250 was dropped on the village of Soloti in the Valuisky district of Belgorod region, which led to the evacuation of 150 residents.
Media reports suggest that such drops are quite common: 20 munitions fell accidentally in Belgorod Oblast alone from March to April 2024.
"These examples point to Russia's inability to successfully use its munitions on their intended targets. Such mistakes have devastating and lethal consequences for the Russian population," the British intelligence service said.

As a reminder, back in January 2024, British intelligence said that incidents involving accidental bomb drops at the occupiers occur due to insufficient training and fatigue of pilots, who as a result ineffectively perform tactical actions during missions.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on May 11, an accident involving an ambulance, which was probably transporting wounded occupants, occurred in Belgorod. The driver of the car did not notice that the ambulance had special signals on – eight people were injured in the collision of three cars.
