Echeloned enough: the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained how to break through enemy defenses
Occupants have set up anti-tank ditches, hedgehogs and "dragon's teeth"

In eastern Ukraine, Russian troops use a fairly powerful deeply echeloned defense, but it is not insurmountable. With the right equipment, planning, and tactics, these barriers can be overcome, and if the enemy has at least one weakness, a hole can be made in their front.

On September 17, Ilya Yevlash, the head of the press service of the Eastern Military Group, spoke about this during a telethon. In particular, he noted that in the Bakhmut sector, the enemy's defense lines are less equipped, as the fighting has been going on since winter and there was no time for such constructions.

In other areas, particularly in the Liman-Kupyansk sector, the enemy's defense is quite strong.

"There are engineering barriers and barbed wire about 20 meters from the trench on the first line. In front of it, a kilometer and a half away, there are minefields, including anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. After it, there is an anti-tank ditch up to 2.5 meters deep and 3 meters wide," said the spokesman for the Eastern military group.

Ilya Yevlash added that another minefield is being installed behind the tank ditch. The first line consists of various types of engineering obstacles - anti-tank hedgehogs and dragon's teeth.

"They are quite echeloned, but they are not insurmountable. With the right use of various demining machines, we can make passages and overcome these barriers. The main thing is the right tactics and planning," said Yevlash.

According to him, our intelligence should not be underestimated either. After all, if the occupiers have at least one weak point, we can make a hole in their front.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL:

- British intelligence noted that the Russian army is trying to strengthen its defense near the temporarily occupied Tokmak, which is located 16 km from the current front line. To do this, the enemy is deploying additional checkpoints.

- Ilya Yevlash also said that the enemy slowed down the offensive in the Kupyansk sector. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces kicked the occupants in the teeth near Novoyehorivka.
