DPRK soldiers are easy prey for Ukrainian drones in Kursk direction - unmanned systems battalion deputy commander
North Korean soldiers fighting side by side with the Russians in the Kursk region are easy prey for Ukrainian drones. And all because they do not yet know the specifics of drone warfare.
This was stated by the deputy commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nicknamed "Wolf". According to him, DPRK soldiers are using the primitive "live bait" tactics, which was previously found in their military notes.
"There are a lot of North Korean soldiers in our direction, which are an easy target for UAVs because they don't yet understand what drones are. This is currently an advantage for us. They don't care about their soildiers, and that's why they are using this tactics," he said.
Although they are trying to shoot down Ukrainian drones with small arms, AFU's operators are successfully countering this.
"There is a drone for everyone, so every occupier will find one for themselves," Wolf emphasized.
The deputy commander noted that the situation in Russian Kursk region is largely difficult. The current weather conditions do not allow the battalion to fully unleash the potential of unmanned systems.
"Our area is difficult, like all the others. Now the enemy is conducting 'meat assaults' with the use of equipment, but thanks to unmanned systems, we are holding them back, saving our infantrymen and destroying the enemy as much as possible," the defender added.
As reported, the day before it became known that in the Kursk region, the Russian army lost almost an entire infantry battalion consisting of both North Korean soldiers and Russian marines over the past two days. In particular, the enemy suffered significant losses near the village of Makhnovka.
