DIU responds to accusations of involvement in drone explosion at ZNPP

This is a constant criminal practice of the occupiers

Russia's strikes on ZNPP are a constant criminal practice of the occupiers. In addition, they are often imitations.

This was stated by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov. This is how he reacted to the explosion of a Russian drone on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant seized by the aggressor state.

"Ukraine is not involved in any armed provocations on the territory of the ZNPP illegally occupied by Russia. The aggressor state is once again endangering the nuclear facility, civilians and the environment of the whole of Europe," Andriy Yusov said.

He also emphasized once again that the occupying country must withdraw its troops from all ZNPP facilities.

"Strikes, including simulated strikes, on the territory of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant, as well as the deployment of troops and weapons there, mining of ZNPP facilities have long been a well-known and constant criminal practice of the occupiers," the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine summarized.

Earlier, the International Atomic Energy Agency said that an unmanned aerial vehicle exploded at Zaporizhzhia NPP on April 7. The IAEA experts learned about this from the occupiers, who have been holding the Ukrainian plant since the spring of 2022.

As a reminder, at the end of March this year, in their report, IAEA experts stated that the occupiers were firing artillery from the territory of ZNPP. Members of the mission at ZNPP have repeatedly heard explosions and small arms fire themselves.

It was also reported that the occupiers are holding about ten ZNPP employees in torture chambers because of their pro-Ukrainian position and refusal to cooperate with the invaders.

Since the beginning of February this year, the occupiers have also banned the entry of licensed personnel who have not signed contracts with the fake Rosatom company.
