DIU received secret data on drone manufacturing company that works for Russia. Details

DIU representative Andrii Yusov calls obtaining data on the manufacturer of drones for the occupiers a great success for Ukraine

Ukrainian intelligence received a lot of information about a company that produces drones for Russia. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine publicly commented on the news and explained the benefits of the classified data.

This was reported by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, during a national TV marathon. He called obtaining data on the manufacturer of drones for the occupiers a great success for Ukraine.

According to him, the operation was conducted jointly with representatives of civil society, in particular, concerned patriotic bloggers. The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the people who helped. He confirmed that it was about 100 gigabytes of information.

According to Yusov, this data can be used in many ways. The materials contain information about the Orlan drone and enemy electronic warfare equipment, which will help in countering enemy weapons. The Ukrainian defense industry can also use some of the methods.

The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine also noted that the production of these drones involves a specific range of components, not only Russian-made but also imported.

"And this means tracking supply chains and, accordingly, disrupting these chains in the future, in particular, due to the tightening of sanctions policy," Yusov explained.

He noted that some of the information obtained will be of interest to Ukraine's Western partners. Yusov emphasized that the data will also be useful for strengthening security and defense.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to law enforcement, on January 2, Russia used non-Russian-made missiles to strike Kharkiv. The country of manufacture is being established, while experts suggested that the enemy could have used ballistic missiles received from North Korea.

On January 4, the White House said that Russia had received ballistic missiles from North Korea to circumvent sanctions and had already used them in recent attacks on Ukraine.

It also became known that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is checking information about the transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia by North Korea and their use in attacks on Ukrainian cities. It is known that ballistic missiles are a desired request from Moscow to the DPRK and Iran.
