DIU launches new cyberattack on Russia: occupants' drone control program fails on a large scale
The DIU carried out a new cyberattack on Russia

Ukrainian intelligence officers carried out a large-scale cyberattack on the enemy's drone control program. This software is used by the invaders to reflash DJI drones to meet the needs of combat operations.

After the cyberattack, all software is recognized as "foreign" and denies access to Putin's terrorists. This was reported by the press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

After the work of Ukrainian cyber specialists, the Russian occupiers began to complain about the massive failure of the drone control program. The DIU explained that the software allows enemy drone operators to customize control panels and create new ones, capture video and transmit images to the command post, and control the drone directly from a computer.

It is worth noting that the Russian software is used to ensure the functioning of the "friend or foe" system via web servers. As a result of the cyberattack, the servers stopped working, so all software was recognized as "foreign" and denied access to Russians.

"Without access to the servers, and therefore to the system, it is probably impossible to control the drones from the consoles. Now the enemy is trying to solve the problem in every possible way, including by switching to manual control mode," the statement said.

As a reminder, Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that our country may soon create a cyber diplomat position. Many countries already have such specialists.

Recommendations

Earlier, it was reported that a cyberattack by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine "took down" the special communications server of the Russian Ministry of Defense. As a result of the cyberattack, the exchange of information between the Russian agency's units was suspended.
