On March 5, Russians in the Belgorod region of Russia complained about an attack on an oil depot. A fire broke out on the territory of the Gubkin oil depot after the UAV attack.
The information about the destruction of the oil depot was confirmed to OBOZ.UA by sources in the DIU. It is known that one of the tanks on the territory of the oil depot in the village of Dolgoe was on fire.
Local authorities in the Russian Federation also confirmed the explosion and fire at the tank farm. Thus, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that there were no casualties as a result of the attack and that special services were already working at the scene.
The footage from the scene shows a thick column of black smoke.
On Telegram channels, Russians were outraged by the explosions at the oil depot and cynically threatened to attack civilian targets in Ukraine, recalling the recent attack on a high-rise building in Odesa, where children were among the victims. They also complained that the media did not cover the information about the Russian Sergei Kotov ship that was sunk last night.
"God forbid that there were no casualties", "We have enough of these oil depots for at least another year", "What a horror. But it's burning so beautifully", "The oil depot shot down a drone, everything is going according to plan", "It will be a building in Odesa", "Why don't you write about the sunken Russian ship if you are so worried about Russia? Or do you think people shouldn't know the truth?" Russians write.
Earlier, it was reported that on the morning of March 5, Russia announced a new attack. UAVs were used to hit the Gubkin oil depot in the Belgorod region. After the hit, a fire broke out at the facility. According to various sources, from one to three tanks were engulfed in flames.
As a reminder, on the night of March 5, Ukrainian soldiers hit and sank the Russian ship Sergei Kotov, which is worth about $65 million. The details of the destruction of another enemy vessel were disclosed by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
