On the night of August 28, soldiers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit another oil depot in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. It is a strategic facility of the Rosrezerva in the Kamensk-Shakhtynsky area.

A massive fire is burning at the facility, and the exact consequences of the damage are being clarified. This was reported by intelligence sources to OBOZ.UA.

According to the source, last night, the DIU and the SOF, using Ukrainian-made strike UAVs, struck effectively at the "Atlas" oil depot of the Federal State Reserve Agency of the Russian Federation near the village of Kamensk-Shakhtynsky, Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

This facility is a part of the Russian military-industrial complex and is directly involved in the supply of the Russian occupation forces.

Eyewitnesses say that a massive fire continues to burn in the tanks of the base. The exact consequences of the attack are currently being clarified.

Meanwhile, Russian propagandists say that at least two drones fell on the territory of the base at night.

"A fire broke out and has not been extinguished so far. Several tanks are burning," one popular social media outlet complains, posting a video of the burning base.

The footage looks encouraging: "Atlas" has every chance to burn as brightly and for as long as the storage facility of another Rosrezerva facility, the Kavkaz plant near the city of Proletarsk.

OBOZ.UA's source also noted that the "Atlas" Plant of the Federal Agency for State Reserves in the Southern Federal District specializes in the supply of petroleum products to the Russian Armed Forces. In particular, in August 2020, the Russian media reported on joint exercises of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Federal Reserve within the framework of the Caucasus 2020 exercise. The demonstration exercises on the supply of petroleum products for the needs of the army involved three methods: road, rail, and pipeline.

Earlier, it was reported that on the night of August 28, the Rostov region of the Russian Federation was attacked by UAVs. As a result of the attack, another oil depot caught fire. Like the base in Proletarsk, which had been on fire for more than a week, it belongs to Rosrezerv.

And in the Voronezh region, a BC warehouse was attacked by drones. The governor of the region reported "falling debris" and "fire near explosive objects," denied the detonation, and clarified that the population near the arrival site had been evacuated.
