Destroying the city with bombs: Head of Kupyansk MBA reports on the approach of the Russian army

The occupiers are on the outskirts of Kupyansk

Russian troops are about three kilometers from Kupyansk. The occupiers are constantly striking the city, destroying it with bombs, including one and a half tons.

This was reported by the head of the Kupyansk city military administration, Andrii Besedin, on the air of the national telethon. He said that the Russian invaders were approaching the city.

"The enemy is actually at a distance of 2.5-3 kilometers from the city of Kupyansk. Constant shelling, and constant destruction of critical civilian infrastructure. Even if we talk about the right bank, the enemy is constantly striking, including with guided aerial bombs of one and a half tons. This is a fierce destructive force," said Besedin.

According to him, some institutions are still operating on the right bank, and utilities are being provided to residents. However, it is impossible to predict what the situation will be like in a week.

As of now, there are problems with water supply in Kupyansk due to the enemy's damage to the water supply system.

"Mandatory evacuation of the population continues. More than 2,500 people are currently on the right bank of the Oskil River in Kupyansk. More than 1400 people remain on the left bank (part of Kupyansk, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, and Kivsharivka villages that are part of Kupyansk community)," emphasized the head of the MVA.

Besedin also said that a support center for Kupyansk residents is being created in Kharkiv, which will open soon.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, according to British intelligence, as of October 19, Russian troops were several hundred meters from the Oskil River and about 20 km south of Kupyansk. The enemy is seeking to recapture the city, which is an important railroad junction.
