Ukraine's defenders of the sky received the first F-16 fighter jet trainer from the Czech Republic. It was transferred to one of the tactical aviation brigades.

This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk. On Friday, May 10, a video was posted on his official Telegram channel.

According to the lieutenant general, Ukrainian specialists are already testing the main module of the simulator and preparing it for operation. Next, the hydraulics and cockpit will be completed so that the pilot can feel the realism of the training flight.

Experts noted that before that, the military had virtual simulators of these American multi-role fighters. Now it is a full-fledged flight simulator with a real F-16 cockpit.

This allows the pilot to feel where and what controls are located, what he sees in flight, and what signals are being transmitted. On the simulator, you can learn how to launch any airborne weapon that a real F-16 can be equipped with.

The Air Force commander thanked everyone who helped Ukraine strengthen its aviation component. At the same time, he added that in addition to the F-16s themselves, the country still needs to create a powerful training and material base for young people.

"I urge our allies to join this initiative. Together we will win!" emphasized Oleshchuk.
