Commander Tarnavskyi reports hundreds burned armored vehicles and thousands corpses of the occupants in Avdiivka, saying Ukraine will continue fighting

Occupants suffer losses near Avdiivka

Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops Oleksandr Tarnavskyi spoke about the situation near Avdiivka, where the fiercest fighting has been taking place for over a month as Russia has been trying to capture the city. However, all it has managed to achieve is hundreds of burnt-out armored vehicles and thousands of corpses of the Russian occupiers.

"We are still standing. And we will stand because Avdiivka is not just a territory on the map but a part of Ukraine, a part of the soul of Ukrainians and Ukrainian Donbas," the commander wrote on his Telegram channel. He posted footage of wounded but impregnable Avdiivka and its outskirts, where the enemy is suffering natural setbacks.

Tarnavskyi added that the motivation of the Defense Forces is very high. They did not come to take what is not theirs, but to defend what is theirs: Ukrainian soldiers are ready to fight for every house, hill and lake. They will also take revenge for their killed comrades, civilians, and innocent children.

"We will fight for Bucha, Borodianka, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, for destroyed Marinka, Popasna, Bakhmut and Avdiivka... And we will definitely win," the military commander summarized.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, according to military correspondent Yuriy Butusov, the situation in Avdiivka is critical, and Ukrainian soldiers need reinforcements.

"At the same time, our Defense Forces are waiting for the enemy and the tactical situation remains favorable for them as the Russians are advancing in much more difficult conditions than our fighters are defending, and they are also suffering much greater losses," he said.

Barabash, the head of the Avdiivka RMA, added that the invaders are preparing for the third wave of the attack on the city. It will take place as soon as weather conditions allow.
