Combat helicopters and planes: high activity of Russian aviation in the skies over Mariupol

High activity of Russian aviation spotted over Mariupol

On the evening of June 12, enemy aircraft activity was spotted over Mariupol, temporarily occupied by Russian occupation forces in Donetsk region. The occupiers became more active in the sky around 19:50.

This was reported by Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the legitimate mayor of Mariupol, on his Telegram channel. According to him, the invaders' planes and helicopters were circling over the Mariupol region.

Andriushchenko noted that the enemy aircraft were probably heading towards Zaporizhzhia region.

Russian army planes and helicopters flew from two directions - Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Rostov.

"Do not neglect security. God give strength to our defenders," Andriushchenko said in a statement.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has confirmed that the Ukrainian Defence Forces conducted an effective offensive in the Donetsk and Tavriya operational areas. Last week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 90 square kilometres of our territories from Russian occupation forces.

Seven settlements were de-occupied - Lobkove, Levadne, Novodarivka, Neskuchne, Storozhove, Makarivka, and Blagodatne.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukraine's defenders destroyed another expensive Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter, known as the Alligator. It became the 300th anniversary helicopter of the occupiers that was disposed of by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
