Canada considers buying Ukrainian drones

Ukraine's partner states may purchase drones manufactured by Ukrainian enterprises for their own defense needs. In particular, Canada is considering the possibility of purchasing Ukrainian drones .

This was stated by Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair during a press conference in Ottawa, Ukrinform reports. He noted that during his visit to Kyiv in February, he discussed the experience of using drones on the battlefield and achievements in their production with the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshyn.

"We discussed opportunities for cooperation and even how coalition allies, including Canada, could invest in the purchase of Ukrainian-made drones. I think this is a real possibility," Bill Blair said.

According to him, no one has a better understanding of how to confront the Russians than the Ukrainians themselves. He also added that Canada, together with other coalition partners, plans to provide Ukraine with one million drones, some of which will be produced directly in Ukraine.

"They have two years of harsh combat experience in this. I think we should all learn from the evolution of the use of drones in warfare and make decisions about future procurement based on that," the minister said.

Canada plans to cooperate with Ukrainian partners to support local production. In addition, according to the minister, this has real benefits for all coalition members, including Canada.

As reported, Czechoslovak Group AS wants to invest hundreds of millions of euros in Ukraine and build an ammunition plant in our country. CSG is already in talks with Ukroboronprom.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that defense workers had found a way to strengthen Ukraine. He announced that there would be even more of our weapons on the battlefield.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) signed a cooperation agreement with Dynamit Nobel Defense, a leading German arms manufacturer founded by Alfred Nobel in 1865. This company is the German division of the Israeli company Rafael.
