The successful strike on the ammunition depot in the Voronezh region revealed Russia's inability to protect its logistics facilities close to the front. This was a serious loss for the Russian army, as the depot occupied about 9 square kilometers.

This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense intelligence. The attack on the ammunition depot in Serheyevka, Voronezh region, took place on July 7.

Analysts noted that the drone attack resulted in the almost complete destruction of the depot and everything stored there.

Intelligence believes that this is a significant loss for the Russian military, as the warehouse was an important storage point for surface-to-surface ammunition and small arms for the front line.

"This warehouse was very likely a place to store surface-to-surface munitions and small arms for use at the front. This will further complicate Russia's already problematic logistics chains and encourage it to further disperse such facilities due to the constant threat of Ukrainian strikes," the intelligence noted.

The analysts also noted that this underscores Russia's difficulties in protecting important facilities even in areas with dense air defense, as the warehouse was located just 80 km from the border with Ukraine.

"Russia cannot easily afford such losses, given its chosen strategy of 'war of attrition'... This approach requires huge amounts of ammunition. Russia is currently relying on its few foreign partners for supplies as its defense industry has difficulty meeting the demands at the front," the British intelligence service summarized.
