Britain has transferred 15 times more ammunition to Ukraine than planned

The United Kingdom has provided Ukraine with 184,000 more artillery shells than planned a year ago. Ukrainian defenders need them to defend our country.

This statement was made by Defence Secretary Ben Wallace. This was reported by The Guardian.

Wallace noted that the UK "has donated a significant amount of military equipment, ammunition and non-lethal assistance" as the Armed Forces of Ukraine defend their territory and seek to expel Russian invaders.

"Although we delivered less than expected in a small number of areas... we exceeded our plans in critical areas such as artillery, responding quickly to Ukraine's priorities and events on the battlefield. For example, we delivered 15 times more artillery ammunition than originally planned," he said.

To recap: Wallace said that Ukraine should pay more attention to thanking the West for its assistance. He said that in 2022, he personally travelled to Kyiv to receive a list of weapons needed by the Ukrainian army.

At a press conference after the summit, Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the British Defence Secretary's words about greater gratitude. He reminded that Ukrainians have always been grateful to the citizens of the United Kingdom and that this is why the countries have close ties.
