Berdyansk and Melitopol are no longer considered the rear of the occupants: the Defense Forces told how the enemy's potential is destroyed
Berdyansk and Melitopol used to be considered the "deep rear" of the Russian occupation troops. But after the strike in Berdyansk on July 11 on the hotel "Diuna", where the military leadership of the enemy was located, the situation changed.
This was stated by the speaker of the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavriia direction Valery Shershen on the air of Radio Liberty.
"We can talk about the fact that Berdyansk and Melitopol are no longer considered the rear of the Russian troops. Perhaps everyone understands perfectly well why from the beginning of the advance of our troops to the south, from the beginning of offensive actions, from the beginning of our counter-offensive vectors of advance began to be called Berdyansk and Melitopol," Shershen said.
The speaker emphasized that the obvious strategic goal of the AFU is the de-occupation of Ukrainian lands in the south and access to the coast of the Sea of Azov. Therefore, the priority is to destroy the enemy's potential in this direction.
"It is absolutely obvious that we rely on the concept of effective comprehensive fire defeat of the enemy and destroying the enemy's potential, rear and logistics, logistics bases, management structures and command centers. This is what missile and long-range artillery forces work effectively and accurately for," Hornet said.
According to him, it is a process in which "complex decisions" are determinative.
And it's worth noting that the targets to be hit are determined at headquarters, where commanders do the appropriate planning, coordination and implementation. Let us praise ourselves. Still, the AFU is an intellectual army. Thus, the determinants are leadership, motivation and attacks, defined task and goal." Shershen summarized.
