"Be like Oleksandr": Oleshchuk shared a photo of a soldier who destroyed "Shakhed" in Odesa region with a DShK machine gun

Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk showed a photo of a soldier who destroyed a Shahed in the Odesa region on the night of December 14 using a DShK machine gun. The defender, named Oleksandr, serves in the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Radio Engineering Brigade but is regularly involved in the calculations of mobile fire groups.

The photo was posted on Oleshchuk's official Telegram channel on December 15. "Meet Oleksandr, a soldier of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Radio Technical Brigade of the Air Force. He is a soldier, a mechanic of a logistics platoon, but he is regularly involved in the calculations of mobile fire groups," the post reads.

According to the Air Force commander, on the night of December 14 in the Odesa region, Oleksandr destroyed a Shahed-136 with a DShK machine gun.

"I shot it down not because it was repainted, but because it was Russian! Be like Oleksandr! Destroy what is Russian!" Oleshchuk called.

- On the night of December 14, the invaders launched "Shakheds" from the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and the Black Sea.

- Air defense forces shot down 41 of 42 UAVs, most of the targets were destroyed in the Odesa region.  Simultaneously, the enemy launched S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles.

- The falling debris damaged a dormitory building in the Odesa region, injuring 11 people, including three children. Two 8-year-old boys and a 12-year-old girl were diagnosed with contusions and closed head injuries. The adults were diagnosed with concussions and wounds.
