A rocket landed in a residential area in the Lviv region during a massive missile attack on the night of March 9. As a result of Russian actions, there were civilian casualties.
A Russian missile killed five residents in the Zolochiv district. Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, reported about it on Telegram (scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos and videos).
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, three houses were destroyed as a result of the Russian missile. The regional authorities also urged residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens.
"One of the missiles fell in a residential area in the Zolochiv district. Three houses were destroyed. Unfortunately, four people were killed. Once again, we ask you not to ignore the air raid sirens," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
Maksym Kozytskyi added that rescuers were working at the site. They were dismantling the rubble of the destroyed building at the moment, as there may be other people under it. He also clarified that all the dead were adults - two men and two women. Later, rescuers found the body of another man under the rubble.
At the same time, the press service of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region reported that rescuers found the bodies of the dead people while dismantling the destroyed structures of the buildings. The State Emergency Service involved 28 personnel, 5 units of special equipment, and a canine unit.

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, March 9, Russian occupation forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine. At first, the invaders launched Shahed kamikaze drones, after which air defense was reported in a number of regions.
Earlier, it was noted that at about 5:50 a.m. and after 7:00 a.m., powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv: with the first one, smoke arose into the sky above the impact site, and with the second, cars near a high-rise building caught fire.
