Almost 300 people rescued from Kurakhove: police showcase the work of the White Angel group. Video

Police assisted 42 wounded in 7 months

Since the beginning of this year, the White Angel police group operating in the Marinka sector has evacuated nearly 300 people from Kurakhove. Among those rescued are 65 children.

The group's work was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It also published a video filmed on police body cameras.

The crew rescuing civilians from the war zone works 24/7. Law enforcement officers immediately arrive at the scene of shelling, even if the explosions continue. Over 7 months, the police have helped 42 wounded people.

Since the beginning of this year, the White Angel group working in the Maryinka area has evacuated 271 people, including 65 children.

The police also delivered over 28 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the frontline.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on 5 August, the humanitarian corridor for Ukrainians evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories will resume its work at the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka border between Russia and Ukraine. A volunteer humanitarian centre is operating there, where all citizens of our country can receive free psychological, legal and humanitarian assistance, as well as spend the night and get to Sumy or other cities of Ukraine.
