Air Defense Forces destroyed all 28 cruise missiles and 15 of 16 drones during the night

Russian troops launched a new attack on Ukraine on the night of August 30. They launched 44 aerial targets at peaceful Ukrainian towns and villages: 28 missiles and 16 kamikaze drones.

Air Defense Forces shot down 43 air targets. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

"All 28 cruise missiles and 15 of 16 attack UAVs were destroyed. The enemy attacked the territory of Ukraine with cruise missiles and strike UAVs this night. A total of 44 enemy air targets were recorded: 28 X-101/X-555/X-5 air-to-air missiles were fired from 11 Tu-95ms strategic aircraft from the Caspian Sea and Engels area.16 Shahed strike UAVs were launched from the southern and northern directions (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk)," Zaluzhny said.

He added that the forces and means of air defense of the Air Force in cooperation with the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed all 28 cruise missiles and 15 strike UAVs over the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Odesa and Mykolayiv regions.

The destruction of 43 aerial targets (air-to-air cruise missiles and attack drones) was also confirmed by the Air Forces of the AFU.

The alarm began to spread across Ukraine after midnight. It continued throughout the night. The country was completely red at around 5 a.m.

Explosions were heard in the Cherkasy and Kyiv regions, where the air defense system was triggered.

They fought off the attack on the morning of August 30. According to local authorities, debris fell in two districts of the capital, mainly in the Darnitskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. It fell on non-residential buildings, particularly shopping centers. The debris also caused a fire in an open area of the Shevchenkivskyi district.

Two security guards of the enterprise in the Shevchenkivskyi district were killed and three people were injured. It is known about the victims in the Kyiv region as well. There were also damaged residential houses and fires as a result of falling debris.

Infrastructure was damaged by debris in the Zhytomyr region.
