Russian occupants failed to realize their tactical intentions during the offensive in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian defense forces are holding them back along the contact line.
In some areas, Ukrainian soldiers are even driving the invaders out of the positions they seized, returning the areas and increasing the exchange fund. This was stated by the commander of the Achilles UAV battalion of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade Yuriy Fedorenko during a TV marathon.

According to him, the Russian offensive is not unfolding as successfully as they want.
"The enemy has objectively failed to realize its tactical intentions. I will say more: in some areas, the Defense Forces manage not only to be in active defense but also to take actions to improve the position along the front line. This means knocking the enemy out of their positions," Fedorenko noted.
In addition to regaining control of previously lost positions, Ukrainian soldiers are achieving another important goal.
"As a result of these operations, we have not only regained our positions but also captured the enemy soldiers, who will be exchanged for our guys who are currently held captive in the Russian Federation," the commander said.
Earlier, Aidar company ex-commander explained why the Russian army's attack in the Kharkiv region was not just a reconnaissance battle. Yevhen Dykyi is convinced that the Russian Federation is launching a full-fledged offensive, as evidenced by the number of troops gathered by the occupiers, of which there were about 50 thousand.
At the very least, the invaders are trying to create another hot spot on the frontline to stretch Ukrainian forces and force them to use their reserves. The main goal is to return to the positions lost in 2022, from where they can bombard Kharkiv with artillery and Grad systems.
