AFU repelled enemy attacks in Kupiansk direction, hitting Russian control center and fuel supply - General Staff

Over the past day, 104 combat engagements took place at the Ukrainian frontline. In particular, in the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.

In addition, our fighters inflicted significant losses on the occupiers, hitting, in particular, 1 control center, 1 fuel and lubricant depot, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, one radar station and 18 areas of concentration of enemy personnel. This was stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook on May 11.

Russian shelling and the situation at the front

The Russians launched 7 missile and 108 air strikes, as well as fired more than 120 MLRS shells at the positions of our troops and populated areas.

Over the past day, air strikes were carried out in Bilopillia, Kostiantynivka, and Sadky in the Sumy region; Vesele, Vovchansk, Vovchansky Khutory in the Kharkiv region; Lyman, Verkhniokamianske, Druzhba, Spirne, Kalynove, Umanske, and Bohoiavlenka in the Donetsk region.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas and conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities.

In the Slobozhansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 9 attacks in the vicinity of Strilecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliynykove, Lukiantsi, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, and Pletenivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector,  our troops repelled 13 attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka, Luhansk region, and Torske, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 18 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Vyymka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 24 attacks in the areas of Kalynove, Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, and Umanske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, southwest of Novomykhailivka and Solodke in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops 3 times.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, 14 times.

In the Kherson sector, the enemy does not abandon its intention to drive our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, the enemy made one unsuccessful attack on the positions of our troops.
