The Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a brilliant operation south of Avdiivka. As a result, the defenders have occupied part of the village of Opytne, now the fighting continues there.

This was reported by the head of Avdiivka city military administration Vitaly Barabash on the air of the telethon on September 10. According to him, the Ukrainian military managed to gain a foothold in the new positions.

"Two days ago, when the Russian military was storming positions in the north of the city, the Ukrainian military carried out a brilliant operation and occupied a part of Opytne. They managed to gain a foothold there. Now fighting continues in the settlement itself," the head of the city military administration said.

Barabash added that during September 9, the occupants applied 16 massive shelling on Avdiivka community and more than 200 times shelled the positions of the Defense Forces in the Avdiivka direction.

- The morning report of the AFU General Staff says that in the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold the initiative and conduct assaults. Also the AFU have the initiative in the Maryinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the offensive in the south continues.

- The U.S. ISW noted that the AFU advanced along the admin border of Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions, in the area of Novoprokopivka, Verbove and Robotine in Zaporizhia, near Bakhmut, as well as in the occupied Kherson region.

- The AFU paratroopers showed how they knocked the enemy out of their positions. The invaders tried to flee, but were destroyed by the fire of Ukrainian guns.
