This was pointed out by the speaker of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of Radio Svoboda. According to him, the occupiers can not strengthen at sea due to the Bosporus Strait being closed by Turkey.

"Thus, they can't replenish the ship complement from the outside at the expense of other fleets, such as the Baltic or Northern fleets," he explained.

Caspian Flotilla, located nearby and connected via the Volga-Don shipping channel, can be an option. However, the geopolitical situation there is not the easiest for the Russians right now either, given the number of neighbors and their composition, Pletenchuk says.

"Therefore, they are unlikely to transfer ships to the Azov and Black Sea regions. They have already pulled everything they could from there. This is regarding the increase of the grouping. They are in a deadlock," he added.

As for the composition of the Russian fleet located in the waters of the Black Sea directly, it is stable. As the speaker of the AFU Navy noted, usually there are from seven to 11 enemy warships there, including missile carriers, which go on combat duty from time to time.

"There are also one to three border guard vessels there sometimes, but closer to the Kerch Strait. They pose a threat to Ukraine because of the possibility of direct combat in the sea", Pletenchuk summarized.
