AFU destroyed occupants' Pantsir air defense system and large-caliber cannons in Kherson region

The Russian occupation army continues to make attempts to drive Ukrainian troops from the bridgehead on the left bank of the Kherson region. On the night of January 14, the enemy tried to attack the positions of Ukrainian forces twice but suffered losses and retreated.

In just one day, Ukraine's defenders destroyed dozens of enemy equipment in the Kherson region, including a Pantsir anti-aircraft missile system. Colonel Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, said this during the TV marathon.

According to her, the work of Ukrainian soldiers in the Kherson region is focused on the destruction of enemy weapons and equipment. For their part, Russian troops continue to attack the Ukrainian Defense Forces' foothold.

"Most of our work is focused on the destruction of enemy weapons and equipment. The assault actions that the enemy is carrying out in the direction of our bridgehead are unsuccessful. Even though the enemy made two unsuccessful attacks at night, having suffered losses, they returned to their original positions," Humeniuk said.

Over the last day alone, Ukrainian troops destroyed the occupants' multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber cannons and more than 10 units of automotive equipment.

"They lost 5 people at night. As for weapons and equipment, a Pantsyr anti-aircraft missile system and 8 large-caliber cannons were destroyed over the day. The enemy also lost vehicles they used to move personnel, more than a dozen of them. Thus, we continue to destroy their potential," said Humeniuk stated

At the same time, the spokesperson noted that Russian terrorists are deploying a rather powerful network of their supply points on the left bank of the Kherson region in order not to store everything in one place. In this regard, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have to work on each such position.

As a reminder, on January 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 131 pieces of military equipment and weapons of the Russian occupiers in combat. The enemy army lost 840 soldiers. Since the beginning of the war, the defenders have eliminated 370 thousand invaders.

Earlier, it was reported that the bridgehead of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region became one of the largest traps for Russian troops in the entire war. However, the occupation command does not realize this and continues to send new columns of armored vehicles there.
