A video of the DIU attack on the Russian ship Sergei Kotov appeared online
A video of a naval drone attack on a Russian ship has appeared. The Main Intelligence Directorate said that the footage showed the defeat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Sergei Kotov patrol vessel.
The video was posted by the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram. He noted that the attack was carried out with the help of Ukrainian technology (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).
"The DIU is working. United24 donors are working. Ukrainian technologies are working. We are all working for victory," Fedorov commented on today's events.
The footage shows the ship being continuously shelled by UAVs. The extent of the damage is difficult to assess.
According to Krym. Realii, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that Sergey Kotov was attacked by naval drones in the Black Sea on the morning of September 14.
"Around 5:00, the ship was attacked by five maritime drones, which were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry said but provided no confirmation of this statement.
The Defense Forces attacked two Russian patrol ships on Thursday morning. It happened in the southwestern part of the Black Sea.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, during the night attack on Sevastopol on September 13, Ukraine hit the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet with British Storm Shadow cruise missiles. As a result, the large Minsk landing ship and the Rostov-on-Don submarine, which carries Kalibr missiles, were damaged.
After the incident, the Russians stated that they were going to restore the vessels. However, the relevant calculations indicate that the cost of repairs will exceed the construction of a new ship.
