Russian troops shell Kharkiv again

On the morning of January 2, the terrorist country Russia massively shelled Ukraine. A series of powerful explosions occurred, in particular, in Kharkiv. The shelling killed one person and injured dozens.

Several hits were recorded in the city center. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram.

According to the mayor, Russian terrorists fired missiles at residential areas. A fire broke out at the site of the shelling, and rescuers arrived at the scene to eliminate the consequences.

The morning shelling in Kharkiv resulted in one dead and several injured civilians. The head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that medics are providing assistance to people. Later, Viktor Zabashta, director of the Regional Emergency Medical Center, reported another casualty.

As of 8:45 a.m., the head of the RMA reported one dead person and dozens wounded.

"Around 07:30, the occupants struck the central part of Kharkiv, in particular, the Shevchenkivskyi district. The type of missiles is being established. At the moment, there are more than 20 victims. One person is dead. Apartment buildings, outbuildings, other civilian infrastructure were damaged, and cars are on fire," the head noted.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Police, Volodymyr Tymoshko, noted that four missile hits were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. He emphasized that the terrorist country Russia struck places where there are no military facilities.

The first explosions in Kharkiv occurred at about 7:30. The mayor said that, according to preliminary data, Russian terrorists attacked Kharkiv with hypersonic Kinzhal missiles. He also noted that as of 9:30 a.m., the number of victims had increased to 41 people. All relevant services continue to work at the site of the attack.

The advisor to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Council, Natalia Popova, was also injured in the morning shelling of the city. On her Facebook page, she reported that she had received cut wounds due to broken glass. She also added that she had lost a lot of property.

"We lost everything. The volunteer bus that survived everything is also gone. There is a 30-meter crater. Our enemy is as ruthless as ever and hits even children. It is impossible to hate them more. There are already 41 injured and 1 person killed. I will ask for help because I have nothing else to travel with. I have almost no clothes left," Popova wrote.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said that at about 7:30 a.m., the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive missile attack on civilian targets in the central part of Kharkiv. Three missile hits were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

As a result of the hostile strikes, apartment buildings, outbuildings, shops, cafes, pharmacies, cars and other civilian objects were damaged.

A woman was killed in the attack. Another 44 people were injured, including five children: two girls aged 6 and 13 and three boys aged 9.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that as of 14:20, the number of wounded in Kharkiv had increased to 52 people.

As a reminder, on the morning of January 2, the terrorist state Russia took 16 Tu-95MS bombers to the sky and launched missiles at Ukraine, including Kinzhal ones. They were constantly changing their vector, mostly heading for Kyiv region, where explosions eventually occurred.
