The mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov confirmed the information about the strike.
"The occupants of the Melitopol region end the week loudly. Melitopol residents in the north of the city report the sound of a powerful explosion. According to preliminary information, something happened in a hangar in the village of Zarechne, turned into an enemy base. We clarify the details," he wrote in Telegram.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the occupiers in Zaporizhzhia claimed an attack and air defense work on the morning of July 9. There were allegedly three explosions near occupied Melitopol.
Earlier, near Melitopol, a Russian officer shot and killed a fellow officer who prevented him from surrendering along with the mobilizeds. A group of about 90 mobilized men had suffered serious losses, and their commander decided to spare the lives of his subordinates.
