A Russian missile attack on a high-rise building in Poltava on February 1 killed Olena Skliar, a nurse at the Poltava Regional Dermatology and Venereology Center. She was injured during the shelling and was hospitalized in extremely serious condition, but her heart gave out.
The Poltava Regional Dermatology and Venereology Center was deeply saddened by the news. Olena Petrivna was an experienced nurse, a sensitive and wonderful person.
She gave years of her life to help patients, became a support for doctors and an example of humanity and kindness for everyone who had the honor of working with her.
"Her sincere smile, kind heart, and professionalism will forever remain in our memories," say Olena's colleagues.
Olena's colleague Kateryna reported that Olena's family had lost everything. The victim's apartment was completely destroyed, and everything she had was left under the rubble.
"Olena Petrivna is not just a great specialist, but also an incredibly sincere, kind and open person who has always helped others. Today, it is she and her family who need support," said Katerina, who launched a fundraiser on her Instagram page to support the victim's family.
Colleagues, friends and family remember Olena as a professional with golden hands, as well as a sensitive, kind and friendly person.
On the morning of February 1, Russia struck a five-story building in Poltava with an X-22 missile. The entire entrance of the building was destroyed.
As of the morning of February 2, the death toll from the enemy attack on Poltava increased to 14 people. Among those killed by Russia are two children.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, a 9-year-old girl, Sofia, who loved books, drew and dreamed of the future, died as a result of the attack on Poltava. A poignant video with the girl's grandfather, whose granddaughter, son, and daughter-in-law were taken away by the Russian occupiers in an instant, was also posted online. The grieving man curses Russia and its citizens.
