A man was rescued from the rubble: bodycam video of police officers who were the first to arrive at the scene of the fall of debris in Odesa

A bodycam video of Odesa patrol policemen who were the first to arrive at the site of the missile debris in Odesa on the morning of 18 July was posted online. An elderly man was injured in his own home and taken to hospital.
The corresponding video was published on the Telegram of the Patrol Police of Odesa Oblast. The victim had to be pulled out from under the rubble (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).
It is noted that patrol officers who arrived at the scene saw a hole in the roof of the house. Upon entering the room, the inspectors found a citizen pinned down by the remnant of a rocket, unable to move. The law enforcement officers, together with the victim's neighbours, pulled the man out from under the rubble. The police called all emergency services and monitored his health until the arrival of paramedics.
As reported by Suspilne, 74-year-old Mykola sustained multiple injuries as a result of a night attack in Odesa region on 18 July. His wife said that she did not hear the alarm, but heard a rumble and an explosion. A rocket fragment fell through the roof of the house.
"My husband was lying quietly and that's it, at four o'clock there was a 'thud' and a rocket hit him, a huge rocket hit him. He couldn't move, he couldn't do anything.... Can you imagine? It hit him through the roof, it was so heavy, I couldn't move it," Valentyna said.
The injured man is in hospital. According to the deputy medical director of the Odesa hospital, Dmitry Sidorenko, Nikolay has fractured ribs, a broken shoulder blade, an eye injury and soft tissue bruises.
"He received medical care in accordance with the diagnosis. His condition is considered to be of moderate severity. ... After additional tests and consultations, we will prepare the patient for discharge," the doctor said.
As a reminder, on the night of 18 July, the occupiers attacked southern Ukraine with drones and cruise missiles. All six missiles were destroyed by air defence forces. Port infrastructure facilities and several private households were damaged by the wreckage of the downed missiles and the blast wave.
In addition, 21 Shahed-136 attack drones were destroyed on approach from the sea in Odesa region, and another 4 in the skies over Mykolaiv region.
The Office of the President of Ukraine said that the night attack by Russians on Odesa and Mykolaiv using missiles and Shaheds is yet another proof that the terrorist country Russia wants to endanger the lives of 400 million people in various countries that depend on Ukrainian food exports.
