370 Russian soldiers killed in Pokrovsk area over the day: General Staff reports on the situation at the front

One thousand thirty-first day of the large-scale war waged by Russia against Ukraine is over. Our troops continued to steadfastly hold the line.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a summary on December 20 as of 22:00. It is noted that 191 combat engagements have taken place at the front since the beginning of the day.

Russian shelling

The enemy launched three nine missiles, 59 guided bombs, and more than 730 kamikaze strike drones at Ukraine. Russia also fired at the positions of our troops and settlements using various types of weapons more than 4,000 times.

The situation at the front

In the Kharkiv sector, there was one combat engagement with Russian invaders near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy tried to force our units out of their positions near Kucherivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Zahryzove and Lozova 11 times.

One fight continues in the Lyman sector. The enemy attacked fourteen times, trying to advance in the areas of Yampolivka, Terny, Novoserhiivka, Zelenyi Hai, Ivanivka, Torske, Hryhorivka and Serebrianskyi forest. Two other fights are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 6 enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy tried tobreak through our defense 11 times. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants near Toretsk and Leonidivka have been fiercely stopped by our defenders ten times. One attack is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy continues to intensify its attacks. The aggressor attempted 41 assaults here during the day. Russian occupants are most active in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Dachanske, Vovkove, Pishchane, Novovasylivka, Novoielyzavetivka, Novooleksiyivka and Ukrainka.

Thirty-five attacks have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and 6 more engagements are ongoing. At the same time, the enemy shelled the localities of Oleksandropil, Sukhyi Yar and Pokrovsk, dropping a total of three guided bombs.

Our soldiers are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory. According to the information currently available, the aggressor's losses in this sector amounted to 370 people, 171 of whom were seriously wounded. One armored personnel carrier and nine vehicles were destroyed. In addition, a mortar and a vehicle were damaged.

In the Kurakhove sector, there were 20 combat engagements over the day.The invaders remain highly active, trying to advance in the areas of Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne, Dalne, Kostiantynopolske and Kostiantynopil. Defense Forcesunits repelled 17 enemy attacks, three are still ongoing. The settlements of Kostiantynopil and Andriivka were shelled with guided bombs. At the same time, the Defense Forces neutralized 86 occupants in this area, 34 of them suffered serious wounds. In addition, one vehicle was destroyed.

There were 25 fights in the Vremivsk sector. Twenty-two enemy assaults have already been stopped by our defenders in the areas of Uspenivka, Dalne, Yantarne, Rozlyv, Bohatyr, Velyka Novosilka, Makarivka, Novosilka, Novopil and Novodarivka. Fierce fighting continues to this day. The enemy also used aviation force in the area of Velyka Novosilka, dropping four guided bombs.

In the Orikhiv sector, our soldiers successfully repelled one enemy attempt to advance in the area of Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, our defenders repelled the attacks of the Russian invaders 4 times. The enemy used attack aircraft in the area of Ivanivka, using 8 unguided bombs.

There were 50 combat engagements in the Kursk sector. In addition, the enemy launched one missile attack and used artillery force 377 times.

The enemy has not been active in the Siverskyi and Huliaipole sectors since the beginning of the day.

As reported, Ukrainian defenders eliminated about 2,200 occupants at the front yesterday, which was a record figure. They also destroyed 275 units of their military equipment and weapons.
