On the night of September 4, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine hit another oil depot in Russia. The facility in the Voronezh region had 20 tanks with fuel and lubricants.

Russian air defense unsuccessfully tried to prevent Ukrainian drones from reaching the target: at least five hits and a subsequent fire at the oil depot are known. This was reported to OBOZ.UA by sources in the Service.

The SBU conducted another effective operation to reduce Russia's ability to continue the war in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces. Drones were used to hit the Annanefteprodukt oil depot near the village of Anna, Voronezh region of Russia. There were 20 tanks with fuel and lubricants there.

The Russians tried to repel the attack. For example, Russian air defense was actively operating near the base at night. However, to no avail: locals reported at least five powerful drone arrivals and a massive fire that broke out after the explosions.

"In addition to active work on Russian airfields, missile depots, and missile silos, the SBU does not forget about oil depots on enemy territory. They are an important logistical component of warfare. The velvet season of "cotton" is in full swing," the source said.

As a reminder, on the morning of October 4, the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation complained about a UAV attack on an oil depot. According to local resources, a massive fire broke out at the facility. The local governor traditionally claimed that the attack was successfully "repelled", as a result of which "one of the drones fell on the territory of the oil depot". The official also claimed that the UAV had fallen on an empty tank.

Later, the General Staff confirmed that Ukraine had attacked another Russian oil depot: according to the General Staff, at least one tank was hit.
