Two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasilyev categorically opposed the participation of Russians in the Paralympics-2024 in Paris in the so-called neutral status. The former biathlete called the conditions of admission a humiliation and accused international sports organizations of humiliating the representatives of the aggressor country.
This was stated by Vasiliev in an interview with the portal Sport24. The henchman of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime threw a real tantrum over the fact that many Russian Paralympians were not allowed to participate in the Games in the French capital and the team was formed on the basis of the IPC requirements.

"What is this even about! It's not up to them to decide who to invite! Russia doesn't need to go to the Paralympic Games. I have said many times that we do not need to go to these political Olympic Games, nor to the Paralympic Games, where only humiliation awaits us. We have not been invited to the opening ceremony, and even less to the closing ceremony. Why do we need such humiliation? We are a self-sufficient country. We are not on our way with some incomprehensible people who are trying to humiliate us," Vasilyev said.

Earlier, track and field athlete of the Russian national team Anna Kulinich-Sorokina complained about the ban of the colors of the Russian Federation and the name of the country at the Paralympic Games-2024. The competitions will be held from August 28 to September 8 in Paris.
