Fans of London's Arsenal were furious with the decision of Ukraine's midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk to join their neighbours Chelsea instead of their team. The Gunners' fans literally attacked the footballer with insults and wished him death.

Mudryk himself spoke about this in an interview with the Bombardier YouTube channel. According to the Aristocrats midfielder, during an away game against Arsenal in the English Championship, the home fans shouted derogatory chants at him and tried to blind him with a laser.

"I didn't complain to anyone, I didn't say anything to anyone, but people think it's normal to write 'I want you to die' or 'Don't get in my way'. They wrote a lot of things. When we played Arsenal, you come to a stadium like the Emirates for the first time and you are booed by several tens of thousands of fans. But what did I do to them? Did I go to their club and join Chelsea? What did I do to them?" - Mudryk said.

It is worth noting that after the Arsenal vs Chelsea match on 2 May, the police arrested a fan who shone a laser in Mudryk's face during the game. Also, our footballer was booed by the Emirates stands when he came on as a substitute.
