"What are we being accused of?" Russian Olympic champion complains that "everyone in the world has turned their backs" on Russia

Olga Zaitseva, a two-time Olympic champion, has spoken out against Russian athletes competing under a neutral flag at the 2024 Paris Games. The former biathlete, forgetting about her country's criminal war against Ukraine, complained that "everyone in the world has turned their back on us".
Zaitseva said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Russian winner of the 2006 Turin and 2010 Vancouver Olympics added that there are currently no grounds for sanctions against representatives of the aggressor country.
"I think we shouldn't go without the flag and anthem. After Sochi 2014, we were accused of doping, and our team went to the next Games under neutral status. What are we being accused of now? We have no violations. Back then, it was possible to understand something about doping, but what about now? You can't go without the flag and anthem. They may say that I have already competed at the Olympics, and someone is only now getting a chance to go for the first time. But now everyone in the world has turned their backs on us. And we should no longer go along with them, agree to their terms. Let them compete without us," Zaitseva said.
Earlier, she said that she did not know what goals Russia was pursuing in the war against Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people, but declared "our victory".
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Olympic champion Mikhail Mamiashvili, speaking of a "superior race," demanded that Russian athletes be allowed to participate in international competitions without additional conditions.
