"We have become enemies": Russian Olympic champion is happy that young Russians have "no chance" of competing at the 2024 Olympics
The President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation (RCCF), Elena Vyalbe, is delighted that Russian athletes have virtually no chance of competing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The 55-year-old winner of three Olympic Games added that athletes who agree to the conditions of admission without the flag and anthem of the aggressor country will become enemies of the people.
Vyalbe said this on the air of the propaganda TV channel Match TV. She thanked the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which banned Russians from participating in team competitions at the Games in the French capital, and set strict admission criteria for individual tournaments.
"I've said many times: thank you to the IOC for doing everything they could to ensure that our young athletes have no chance. Some of the young people could still hesitate and still decide to go. But what kind of eyes would they have come back with? They would definitely become enemies for the whole country. But no one has any chance of leaving. For this I am very grateful to the IOC. I don't think any Russians will be there. You should take a better look at the good competitions we have in our country," said Vyalbe.
