"Walk in the right color, don't talk about Russia": Russian world champion complains about bans at the 2024 Paralympics
Russian track and field athlete Anna Kulinich-Sorokina has complained about bans at the Paralympic Games, which start on August 28 in Paris. The 32-year-old athlete noted that representatives of the Russian Federation are not even allowed to pronounce the name of their country.
Kulinich-Sorokina said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Match TV. The 2013 world champion, who will compete in javelin throwing and running in Paris, added that the current conditions are not difficult for her, as she has become accustomed to them in recent years.
"The rules are simple. Wear the right color, don't talk about Russia, don't hand out nesting doll badges. Otherwise, we will live in the Olympic Village, and they can interview us. On the contrary, foreigners are even interested in our opinion. Everything will be normal, except for the uniform and some words. But everyone knows where we come from. I have never been treated badly at a competition. I have never encountered aggression," Kulinich-Sorokina said.
It should be noted that 90 Russians will take part in the 2024 Paralympic Games. They will compete under a neutral flag, they are not allowed to participate in the opening and closing ceremonies, and the results of the Russian representatives will not be included in the medal standings.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, propagandist Dmitry Guberniev suddenly came to the conclusion that world sports is doing just fine without Russian athletes at international tournaments.
