"Until they destroy everything Ukrainian": Kharlan told what she was most shocked at the World Cup

Ukrainian saber fencer Olga Kharlan was shocked that the leaders of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) did not accept her position regarding athletes from Russia. Our compatriot refused to shake hands with the representative of the aggressor country Anna Smirnova at the World Championships and was disqualified.
In an interview with Suspilny Kharlan noted that Russian athletes literally terrorize all competitors. The 2008 Olympic champion in Beijing noted that representatives of the Russian Federation want to destroy everything Ukrainian, regardless of the sphere of life.
"I was heartbroken not because my career went to hell. It's because these people can't understand - I can't shake her hand. And I don't care why they don't understand that. They should respect my choice and reconcile that it will always be this way. The representatives of an aggressor country terrorize everyone, but they just can't proudly hold their heads up and walk away. They will push until they destroy everything Ukrainian. They appeal to the rules, although this Smirnova is not neutral in any way. They turn a blind eye to this," Kharlan said.
Recall, Olga's decision to refuse the handshake infuriated Smirnova, who made a real circus - she brought a chair to the track and refused to leave the platform.
The Russian representative filed a protest against the result of the duel, which was rejected. Propaganda channel Match TV published a photo of the denunciation that Smirnova wrote on Olga. The Ukrainian later admitted what she said to the Russian after the fight.
Note that Smirnova is not a "neutral" athlete, as required by the competition regulations. The brother of the representative of the aggressor country is a military man, and she is very proud of him, which is evident from the joint photos.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, a video has appeared that proves that the decision to disqualify Olga Kharlan at the World Fencing Championships was made under pressure from Russia. In addition, our edition told the love story of the fencer and the Italian medalist of the Olympic Games.
