Undefeated boxer Andrei Mikhailovich (21-0, 13 KOs) called Russia the poorest and worst place on Earth. The 26-year-old native of St. Petersburg, who was abandoned by his biological parents, was adopted by a family from New Zealand at the age of 18 months.

Mikhailovich told about this in an interview with The Morning Shirt YouTube channel. According to the middle-aged man, he was one of 10 children in the family and he and his twin brother were handed over to an orphanage, where he was found by a New Zealand couple.

"I was born in St. Petersburg. In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, and there was a lot of inequality, a lot of economic problems, a lot of poor people in the country. In general, if you can find the worst, poorest place on Earth, that's where I was born. I don't know much about my biological parents. I know their names, I know that I have eight brothers and sisters in Russia. My twin brother and I were put in an orphanage. I spent the first 18 months of my life there. My mom and dad couldn't have children, so they decided to go to Russia and they adopted me and my brother," Mikhailovych said.
