Blesetsky did not shake hands with Magomedov

The President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBI), Mikhail Mamiashvili, was outraged by the refusal of Ukrainian Valentyn Blesetsky to shake hands with Russian representative Abasgadzhi Magomedov at the 2023 World Cup. The sports official expressed the absurd idea that our compatriot's decision was made on instructions.

Mamiashvili said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Seoul '88 Olympic champion added that Russians allegedly have no hostile attitude toward Ukrainian athletes, despite the fact that wrestlers from Russia massively support the criminal war against our country.

"God is his judge. This boy is not guilty, this attitude is something that is imposed on him from above. This is complete savagery. Magomedov would have shaken hands, of course, if his opponent wanted to. For him, it made no difference who he went out to fight and shook hands with. Magomedov has no hostile attitude towards his opponents, he respects all his colleagues," Mamiashvili said.

Earlier, the head of the FSBI repeatedly made insulting remarks about Ukrainians and Europeans. In particular, he called for "tanks to go to Paris" because of the conditions for Russian athletes to be admitted to the Olympics. In addition, Mamiashvili called opponents of the war an "aggressive minority."
