Ukrainian hockey player was killed in the war with Russian occupiers

Former Avtomobilist Kyiv hockey player Vladyslav Lykhoshva was killed in action near Bakhmut. The tragedy occurred on 15 July, but the Ukrainian Hockey Federation only reported it on 3 August.
Vladyslav was born in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, Bucha district, Kyiv region, and studied in Dmytrivka, Bucha district. From an early age, he was fond of ice hockey. After graduating from high school, he served his military service, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served in the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.
The young warrior was buried on 22 July on the Walk of Fame in Irpin.
Vladyslav Lykhoshva became the fourth Ukrainian hockey player to be killed in the war. Earlier, 26-year-old Yaroslav Harkavko, a pupil of the Kryzhynka sports school in Kyiv, 19-year-old Oleksandr Koloniuk and 42-year-old Oleksandr Khmil, the 2007 Ukrainian champion, were killed in action with the Russian occupiers.
