Ukrainian beauty athlete who volunteered at the front died in the war with Russia

Ukrainian athlete Alla Koverene, who was engaged in rowing on Dragon boats, died while performing combat tasks in the eastern direction of our country, reports the Ukrainian Dragon Rowing Federation. The 42-year-old native of Zhytomyr joined the volunteer battalion "Falcons of Polesie" from the first days of the full-scale invasion, where she took a training course in first aid.
In the rank of junior lieutenant she was deputy company commander for moral and psychological support in the 115th separate brigade of Territorial Defense Forces and did her military service on the northern borders of Zhytomyr region.
This year was sent on rotation to eastern Ukraine where it came under enemy artillery fire on August 10.

She is survived by two daughters, Gabriela and Daniela, who learned of their mother's death at the Dragon Boat World Championships, August 4-13, held in Thailand.
