Our players played a hard game

Ukraine's vice-champion Dnipro-1 drew with Spartak Trnava with only one shot on goal and playing 80 minutes in the minority. The match in Slovakia ended with the score 1:1.

The game started extremely badly for our compatriots. Already on the 5th minute Dnipro midfielder Eduard Serapiy knocked down the opponent, who was running into a counterattack. The Albanian referee first showed the Ukrainian a "yellow card", but after the VAR prompting, changed the color of the card to red.

After that, Dnipro-1 went on the defensive. The wards of Valeriy Gorodov, who replaced Aleksandr Kucher, who retired for this game, could not create a threat to Spartak's goal, but could not simply cross the center of the field.

Dnipro managed to keep their gates dry in the first half, but immediately conceded in the second half. After an offensive ricochet, the ball flew into the net from the crossbar.

The hosts continued to press and were close to a second goal, but in the 67th minute they suddenly conceded a goal. Kogut intercepted a pass in the center circle, sent Gutsulyak on the counterattack and he was brought down in his own penalty area by Shtetina. Pihalenok clearly realized the penalty.

Towards the end of the game Dnipro-1 were left with nine men when Igor Kogut received the second yellow card.

During the whole game time, the Ukrainian players made the only shot at the goal, while the opponents could score 8 times.
