Ukraine's national basketball team wins its first victory with a new coach
Ukraine's men's basketball team won its second test match of the summer, defeating Sweden 74-72.
Our team lost the first half, getting -8 before the big break. But in the second half, Vitaliy Stepanovskiy's team stabilised the situation under the boards, did a better job in defence, including on the perimeter. both on defence and offence, and recovered 12 points from the deficit.
Forward Andriy Voynalovych scored the winning basket with two seconds left in the game. Point guard Oleksandr Mishula was the most productive for Ukraine, scoring 16 points off the bench. Oleksandr Kovlyar added 8 assists to his 11 points.
After giving up most of the game time, the Ukrainian national team outlasted the Swedish team and won the first victory under Vitaliy Stepanovsky.
Ukraine made a comeback in the match against Sweden.
