Ukraine national team in prequalification for OI-2024: the calendar of basketball games has been determined

The schedule of matches of the men's national basketball team of Ukraine in the prequalification of the Olympic Games has become known. Our national team will play in Istanbul on August 12-20 with the opponents in the group round from Turkey, as well as teams from Iceland and Bulgaria.

Schedule of Group C matches, in which Ukraine will play:

Saturday, August 12

Ukraine needs to be one of the top two teams in the group stage to qualify and then win the playoffs starting with the semifinals. Croatia, Belgium, Sweden and the Netherlands will play in Group D, which will also be held in Istanbul.

Only the winners of the pre-qualification tournaments will get a place in the Olympic qualifying tournament, which is scheduled for next year.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL,  Ukrainian basketball players have already held two sparrings in preparation for the first stage of selection for the Olympics-2024. Under the guidance of new head coach Vitaly Stepanovsky, the "blue-and-yellow" first lost to Lithuania and then beat the Swedes.
