Ukraine footballer joins Spanish club: transfer details
Dnipro-1 striker Artem Dovbyk will undergo a medical examination in Spanish side Girona on Friday, 4 August, and sign a contract with the Primera Division club. The forward of the Ukrainian national team will arrive at the location of his new team in the next few hours.
This is reported by the authoritative publication AS. According to it, the 26-year-old Dnipro goal-scorer will sign an agreement until 2028 and become a partner of former Dynamo Kyiv captain Viktor Tsygankov. Dovbyk will replace Girona's top scorer last season, Tati Castellanos, who moved to Lazio of Rome.
The Spanish club will pay seven million euros for 50% of the rights. It is not known what will happen to the other half of the rights to the player, which belongs to the Danish Midtjylland.
AS journalists note that Girona coach Miguel Miguel is very excited about Dovbyk's signing. He is particularly enticed by the fact that Artem has already started the new season and played two matches for Dnipro-1 in the Champions League qualifiers, where he managed to score one goal against Panathinaikos.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, football fans of the Georgian club Dila sang the song "Putin - khuylo"(commonly translated as "Putin - d*ckhead") in the second-round qualifying match of the Conference League against Vorskla. The home fans also put up posters in support of Ukraine.
